The Copperas Cove Independent School District is preparing for the effects of losing its Heavy Impact Aid status by reducing staff throughout the district. The plan for an overall reduction of 35 instructors and 35 paraprofessionals will save the district a little more than $2.3 million, CCISD projected. In addition to these positions, other support positions at the central administration office will be lost via attrition.
