Sandor Vegh and fellow Optimist Club volunteers present Connor Hedge and his mother, Kristen, with a check for $500 on Wednesday afternoon that will help offset expenses as the family travels for Connor’s cancer treatments. Connor will be heading to the hospital on Monday at Dell Children’s for inpatient chemotherapy to treat neuroblastoma.
