Remembering the true reason behind Memorial Day.

On Monday friends and families of fallen soldiers flocked to memorial sites to celebrate the lives of the fallen on Memorial Day to honor those men and women who have died while serving. Many placing American flags along the graves of familymembers with local veterans groups holding a wreath laying ceremony in the hometown cemetery or at their local veteran’s group headquarters. Sgt. Jones, a local active-duty Ft. Hood solider stated that life in the military comes with a second family, a brotherhood and sisterhood, respectively. When training to deploy and finally deploying and using that training, the bond that has been created is one that cannot be shaken.
