Police department promotes two officers from within ranks.

Police officers, fire fighters and volunteers gathered in the meeting room of the Copperas Cove Police Department to celebrate the promotions of Christina Shappard to the rank of Corporal and Gabriel Cardona to the rank of Sergeant. The two were selected for promotion after an exhausting testing period and rising to the top of their class. The Corporal promotion started with a class of 10 competing for the position, with seven passing the written test por - tion advancing to the assessment centertesting in exercises, activities and simulations to test the decision making abilities of each candidate before moving on to an oral interview board.
