The royalty from Rabbit Fest are no strangers to sweat, tears and giving it their all as they volunteer throughout central Texas. Ben Eseroma, owner of Crossfit Beyond Limits, pushed the senior royalty to the limits during a brief workout inside the gym, giving a sample of what the incoming title-holders can expect as part of the sponsorship package.
“We have been a part of the Copperas Cove community for a little over a year and we were looking to take it to the next level,” said Eseroma. “We wanted to be a part of the pageant last year but were preoccupied with getting our doors open and being welcomed into the community.”
Over the past year Crossfit Beyond Limits has volunteered with the City of Copperas Cove for the Coryell County Rainbow Room, Cove House, and the Soup Kitchen, and was named a business of the month by the Ambassadors for the Chamber of Commerce.
“We want to show the community that we are here to support Copperas Cove no matter what, and being a part of the largest event in the city Rabbit Fest making sure that they can continue what they started three years ago,” said Eseroma. “It was cool to see the girls come in with their sash and see them workout. They work extremely hard to get the title and even harder after they are crowned so anytime you get to see them out and about in the community you know good things are happening.”
Eseroma blogs daily on the gym’s website beyondlimitsstrength.com sharing inspirational messages and workouts. Opening the gym for a brief workout, Senior Ms. Editha Natividad and Young Miss Rabbit Fest Carleigh Ross were treated to a one-on-one workout with weights and an inspirational message from the gym staff.
“I don't usually get a chance to exercise with equipment, so it was challenging to keep up,” said Ross. “Being a cheerleader helped with my endurance, but Ben provided an interesting variety of exercises that exceeded my limit. I left CrossFit confident that I had received the proper workout that I needed to strengthen tumbling skills for cheer and remain fit.”
As part of their outgoing duties, the reigning royalty are helping usher in a new round of sponsors visiting businesses to say thanks as they ensure that the pageant can continue at the same level each year.
“Meeting the sponsors kind enough to support us on our journey is always a pleasure,” said Ross. “I can't thank them enough for making everything possible. Although I am sad that my reign as Young Miss Rabbit Fest has come to an end, I'm happy that I got a chance to experience and learn so much this year, and I can't wait to see the lucky girl that will be able to grow as much I did.”
