Polls open Saturday, Sunday for early voting

Early voting for the March Primary Election began Monday and runs through Friday, Feb. 25, with Election Day on March 1.
As of the closing of the polls on Wednesday, had a total of 1,014 ballots has been cast in Coryell County, with 491 voting in Copperas Cove, 445 voting in Gatesville, and 78 mail-in ballots having been received.
Voters also have the opportunity to head to the polls on Saturday and Sunday, February 19 and 20.
Polls are open Saturday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.
Voting hours Tuesday through Friday next week are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Early Voting locations include the Copperas Cove Early Voting Center, located at 508B Cove Terrace Shopping Center, and at the Gatesville Annex, located at 801 E. Leon St.
The candidates in local opposed races for the Republican Primary ballot in Coryell County include:
County Commissioner, Precinct 2: Billy Vaden, Scott Weddle.
County Commissioner, Precinct 4: Keith Taylor, Ray Ashby Jr. (Incumbent), Bradi Diaz.
Coryell County Judge: Joey Acfalle, Jack Barcroft, Celia J. Sellers, Roger A. Miller (Incumbent).
Other Coryell County races are unopposed and include County Court at Law, John Lee; District Clerk, Becky Moore; County Clerk, Jennifer Newton; County Treasurer, Randi McFarlin; Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, John Guinn; Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, F.W. “Bill” Price; Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, Jim Caldwell; Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Coy Latham.
State races on the Coryell County ballot include State Senator, District 24: Raul Reyes, Pete Flores, Lamar Lewis. Governor: Chad Prather, Danny Harrison, Rick Perry, Don Huffines, Greg Abbott (Incumbent), Kandy Kaye Horn, Allen West, Paul Belew.
Lieutenant Governor: Dan Patrick (Incumbent), Aaron Sorrells, Daniel Miller, Trayce Bradford, Zach Vance, Todd M. Bullis.
Attorney General: Louie Gohmert, George P. Bush, Ken Paxton (Incumbent), Eva Guzman.
Comptroller of Public Accounts: Mark V. Goloby, Glenn Hegar (Incumbent).
Commissioner of the General Land Office: Don W. Minton, Ben Armenta, Rufus Lopez, Tim Westley, Jon Spiers, Victor Avila, Dawn Buckingham, Weston Martinez.
Commissioner of Agriculture: James White, Carey A. Counsil, Sid Miller (Incumbent).
Railroad Commissioner: Tom Slocum Jr., Dawayne Tipton, Wayne Christian (Incumbent), Sarah Stogner, Marvin “Sarge” Summers”.
Texas Supreme Court Justice, Place 9: Evan Young (Incumbent), David J. Schenck.
Court of Criminal Appeals Judge, Place 5: Clint Morgan, Scott Walker (Incumbent).
Texas State Board of Education, District 14 Member: Sue Melton-Malone (Incumbent),
