Planting Roots

Caring for Texas native plants and trees runs in Kasyn Meier’s family, and Meier is following in her grandmother’s footsteps. On Thursday afternoon, Meier planted a chinkapin oak in Copperas Cove City Park near the playscape and pavilion. Ilse Meier, president of the Tonkawa chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas, supported to her granddaughter’s efforts.
