Military Child

The rain didn’t stop families from having loads of fun at the 3rd annual Month of the Military Child Celebration held Saturday at the Copperas Cove Armed Services YMCA.

 

The ASYMCA teamed up with Military BRATS of Copperas Cove High School and the Military Child Education Coalition three years ago to celebrate the children of the military, especially during April, the month of the Military child. Terry Jones, of the Military Child Education Coalition, said she had an idea for an event but no money.

 

That’s where Doreen Vasseur, director of the Copperas Cove ASYMCA, came in. She had the building and suggested doing it together.
