House fire displaces Cove family

Six residents of a home in the 1800 block of south F.M. 116 were displaced from their home Thursday evening due to a fire in the attic. At 8:06 p.m. a Copperas Cove Police Department patrol officer saw a fire near the roof of the home, and contacted the fire department to respond. When the fire was discovered, the tenants in the home were unaware of the fire until the patrol officer notified them about the fire, which damaged a portion of the attic and roof.
