A celebration 25 years in the making is set for Sunday, Sept. 22, as GymKix in Copperas Cove invites the community to join them from 5-7 p.m.

“Bring the whole family to enjoy exciting activities, including games, fantastic vendors, and the chance to dunk the staff. There will be delicious food, exciting prizes, and something for everyone, young and old alike,” said Marketing Director and Owner Carrie Harris.

Harris, along with her sister, Stephanie Beveridge and mother, Trixie Bennett, have welcomed thousands of students through their doors over the past 25 years.

To capture the memories on Sunday, Kelsi Leanne Photography will be on-site offering free photos of kids and families.

Plus, kids can snap pictures with beloved characters like Bluey, Peppa the Pig, and Chase from Paw Patrol.

GymKix has its roots in the storefront beside Dollar Tree, where for more than a decade, the staff taught gymnastics, cheer, and dance.

Then, in June 2015, GymKix opened their more than 13,000-square-foot facility, on Matthew Spicer Road, located a little west of the intersection of U.S. 190 and F.M. 2657.

On Sunday, visitors can explore the facility that has several practice rooms, gymnastics and trampoline facilities, along with a healthy snack bar and waiting area for parents.

The facility has also recently opened its preschool onsite, called Playful Pathways, with full-time and part-time options.
