Pidcoke church holds annual Big Feed
By LYNETTE SOWELL

Pidcoke United Methodist Church might have fewer than 50 active members, but congregation’s efforts were mighty at Saturday’s annual Big Feed held at the church.
For a donation, diners had the chance to enjoy a meal of fried catfish, BBQ brisket, beans, potato salad, coleslaw, bread, desserts and drinks.
Church members take turns coordinating fundraising events for the church, with Lulu Maples and her husband, W.B., coordinating this year’s meal. The tradition of the Big Feed has taken place for decades locally, benefiting area food banks in Copperas Cove, Gatesville and Lampasas.
