Animal Control holds free pet adoption for black in color animals
By DAVID MORRIS
The Copperas Cove Animal Control officers have seen a 300 percent increase in black colored animals being adopted over the last week thanks to their recent push for adoptions while waving the adoption fees. Dogs adopt out at $20 per animal with cats being claimed at $15. “The Army was off on Monday which prompted more adoptions,” David Wellington, Animal Control supervisor said. “We usually adopt out about three a week and we had 10 this week alone.”
