Gatesville native running for District Clerk

Kelly Caldwell Bragewitz is one of four candidates running for the position of Coryell County District Clerk.
Bragewitz is a 1987 alum of Gatesville High and has lived in Gatesville and Coryell County for 47 years.
For the past 24 years she has worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a clerk, records supervisor and is now the head of the intake department.
As the head of that department, she manages a staff of more than 15, responsible for the reception, processing and filing of court documents and records of offenders sentenced to incarceration.
“I believe my career in TDCJ has given me valuable knowledge and skills to bring to this position,” said Bragewitz. “I have enjoyed my service with the State of Texas and look forward to the opportunity to serve the citizens of Gatesville, Copperas Cove, and all of Coryell County as your District Clerk.”
Bragewitz is a former director of the Gatesville Chamber of Commerce Director and has also served as a sponsor for the Junior Ambassadors. She is also a lifelong member of the Gatesville Church of Christ.
Bragewitz shard about her motivation for running for Coryell County District Clerk.
"I decided to run for this position because I want to be more engaged in my community and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere with the public that conduct business with the District Clerk’s office," Bragewitz said.
