First Baptist Church celebrates 130 years

On Nov. 8, 1885, 13 Copperas Cove residents signed the constitution for the formation of First Baptist Church. That occasion was commemorated on Sunday by the approximately 600 who attend the church, in two services.

 

Church member David Wright performed a monologue called using the church’s original 100-plus-year-old pulpit and minister’s chair as props.
