Farmer’s market thrives despite challenging growing season

Local gardeners and farmers bring a variety of locally grown produce to the Copperas Cove Farmer’s Market, held every Wednesday and Saturday.
The market space is located at VFW Post 8577 on Veterans Avenue in Copperas Cove, and is open on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Ferrell Davis, owner of Master “D” Organic Farm, has been growing and selling vegetables for years on his 4-1/2 acres in Killeen, and said this year’s growing season has had its challenges with the spring weather.
