Cove Leader-Press Imagine losing everything you once took for granted, who you are, your memories, even basic things like counting and the alphabet. Patti Foster lost everything, but she recovered and came back stronger than ever. Patti Foster—an author and a former radio personality—spoke at the kickoff for National Crime Victim’s Rights Week. The event, held at Copperas Cove City Park, was free and open to the public. The event began Saturday at 2 p.m. and aside from the speakers also featured a bounce house, carnival games, free food, a raffle, and a balloon release to honor and remember all of the victims of violent crimes.
