Cove murder suspect arrested in California

After several weeks on the run, Andrew Sommervold was arrested in Contra County, California on Sunday.
The 21-year-old Copperas Cove man was wanted by Copperas Cove police as a suspect in the November 9 shooting that left that left 17-year-old Larry Anthony Quinn Thomas dead after a single gunshot wound to the head.
A Contra County Sheriff’s Department report confirmed that Sommervold was booked into the Contra County Jail shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, December 3.
During the time he was at large, Sommervold was considered “armed and dangerous.”
A female juvenile was also being sought by police in connection with the incident. It is not known if the female juvenile fugitive has been apprehended. It is also not known when Sommervold will be transported back to Texas.
Two other Copperas Cove men were arrested for Thomas’ death shortly after the murder.
Michael Onyemaechi Rodriguez Kiaunte Ejiawoko, 17, and Joshua David Vega, 23, were arrested by Copperas Cove police on November 15.
Both Ejiawoko and Vega remain in the Coryell County Jail, each with $500,000 surety bonds.
