Council to receive financial report, technology plan

Velia Key, the city’s director of financial services, will present the city’s fiscal year 2013 comprehensive annual financial report, for the council’s acceptance at its regularly scheduled meeting tonight. The council will also hear from Kevin Marsh, the city’s library director, about the library’s five-year technology plan, whichincludes topics such as an integrated library system, E-content, public computing, fax station, a technology petting zoo, online payments and video surveillance. A second public hearing will be heldregarding the annexation of a little more than 19 acres of land located in the Highway 190 right of way from Robert Griffin III Boulevard to just past east of the Five Hills Shopping Center.
