The Coryell County Economic Development Board held a special meeting on Thursday, April 3 and heard about yet another resource to help them develop an economic development strategy for the county. This came about two weeks after a March 17 meeting, when the board heard from an Austin-area consulting firm, AngelouEconomics, which can provide the board with a strategy for a cost of $60,000. However, the board only has $35,000 in its budget for the 2014 fiscal year. If the board breaks the project from AngelouEconomics into two phases, they’ll have to appeal to the county commissioners for the remainder of the funds.
