A Coryell County jury found 41-year-old Heath Horicio Beasley of Copperas Cove guilty of six counts of sexual assault.

Beasley was sentenced to 45 years in prison and assessed a $10,000 fine for each of the six counts.

The sentences, which total 270 years will run concurrently, according to a press release issued on Thursday afternoon by the office of Coryell County District Attorney Dusty Boyd.

Beasley was arrested in April 2018 on the charge of sexual assault after an investigation by the Copperas Cove Police Department. A teenage girl, along with her mother, reported the allegations of abuse that began in the spring of 2016, according to the arrest affidavit.

The pattern of abuse began with Beasley asking the victim to try on clothes in front of him and then progressed to “numerous incidents” of sexual assault. Beasley was indicted on the charges in May 2018.

The trial began on Monday, Oct. 7 and concluded on Thursday, Oct. 10.
