The Copperas Cove Independent School District announced via social media on Monday, Oct. 7, that it has scheduled two community input sessions as part of the search for a new superintendent.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, with one at noon and one at 6:30 p.m., at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 W. Avenue B. According to the graphic, a "light meal" will also be served. The sessions are open to the public.
The sessions are being conducted by the Texas Association of School Board's Executive Search Services division, which was hired by the CCISD board of trustees as part of the superintendent search process.
The sessions will give community members the opportunity to share what qualities they would like to see in the district’s next superintendent.
CCISD also has an online survey, a Leadership Profile Questionnaire, which can be accessed at https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7970367/Copperas-Cove-ISD-2024-Leadership-Survey.
Applications are being accepted for the superintendent position until Nov. 7, and applications are slated for review beginning around Nov. 18.
The position is “live” on TASB’s careers page at https://tasb.hiringplatform.com/list/CareerOpportunities, just one of the platforms available for those seeking administrative roles at school districts.
