A chorus of barking periodically filled the air at the Copperas Cove Civic Center on Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m., as residents brought their cats and dogs for a vaccination clinic, hosted by the Copperas Cove Animal Shelter. The event provided pet owners a chance to get city licenses for their animals, along with microchipping, in addition to yearly shots for cats and dogs. An annual set of shots cost $20 for cats and dogs, with other preventatives also available for purchase separately, like bordatella, DHLP/parvo/ corona, PRCC/feline leukemia, heartworm preventative, flea treatments and even rattlesnake vaccinations.
