If the Coryell County commissioners’ resolution is accepted by the state, come Jan. 1, 2017, the county will have a second district court. On Monday morning, the commissioners voted unanimously on a resolution to request that the Texas State legislature authorize another court for the county. This would mean adding another judge to the election ballot in the 2016 general election, after which this second judge would go to work on Jan. 1.
