City manager digs deep into budget at workshop

Combing through the proposed budget in detail, City Manager Andrea Gardner, presented a clearer picture of the city’s finances Tuesday during a budget workshop at the Economic Develop Corporation’s boardroom and City Council Chambers. “This is the official presentation of the budget for FY2015,” Gardner said as she opened her presentation. “After all of our funds for the city we end up with just under $7.5 million.” Operating on $30,298,668, 49 percent of the budget comes from the general fund, with 37 percent being made up from the Water & Sewer fund, 12 percent is Solid Waste, and two percent being the Golf Course Fund.
