City of Copperas Cove: Utility account transition nearly complete
The City of Copperas Cove’s Utilities Administration has nearly completed its transition back to an in-house full-service department, the city announced on Friday.
“We continue to be appreciative of the patience of our valued citizens and customers. Utilities Administration and the Finance Department are in the process of reviewing and reconciling customer accounts in support of the upcoming billing process,” stated Kevin Keller, the city’s public information officer, in a Friday afternoon press release.
The city has also prepared a letter and FAQ sheet that will be mailed out to customers by mid-next week.
The city will also hold a Utilities Administration Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, February 20, at 6 p.m. at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, located at 1206 W Avenue B.
City Manager Ryan Haverlah will provide a brief presentation and update on the transition, which will include a review of utility changes, payment options, and time for a public Q&A session.
Utilities Administration staff will also be present with necessary resources to provide individual customer account reviews. This event will be streamed via Facebook Live on the City’s Facebook Page at: https://www.facebook.com/cityofcopperascove/.
