Burned Out

A late-afternoon house fire swept through a house in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue on Sunday, displacing two tenants and killing at least two pit bulls who were unable to be rescued from the house.

 

Copperas Cove Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at 4:24 p.m. and with the use of the ladder truck, kept the blaze under control as it was extinguished, although hot spots would flare up as they worked.

 

The Copperas Cove Police Department provided support to keep the street blocked off at the scene.
