Many throughout the country are preparing for Super Bowl Sunday, but Senior Ms. Rabbit Fest Edith Natividad is recruiting donors and bowling teams to join in with her Souper Bowl Of Caring on Saturday, Feb. 6.
The three-game bowling event will take place from noon until 2 p.m. at Hallmark Lanes, 4203 Shawn Dr., Killeen.
The cost is $50 per four-player team, or $20 per bowler, along with two non-perishable food items per
bowler. The top three teams will win prizes courtesy of the Copperas Cove Leader-Press.
Natividad's platform of service during her reign as Senior Ms. is My Brother's House, the food pantry and outreach program of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
There is a downloadable form for teams available on the coveleaderpress.com web site, by clicking on the banner at the top of the page. Printable forms are also available that can be dropped off at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 1001 Georgetown Rd. or emailed back to rabbitfestpageant@gmail.com.
Natividad hopes all will join in and compete, but for those who can't bowl that day, she welcomes them to conduct a canned food drive of their own for My Brother's House.
Those who collect canned food items may contact Natividad for pickup at (254) 291-6104.
