53rd annual Parade of Homes begins tomorrow

The Parade of Homes has been a longstanding tradition each spring with the Central Texas Homebuilders Association, highlighting homes from homebuilders from Kempner to Temple.
The 53rd annual Parade of Homes has more than 18 homes in the Central Texas area ready to open their doors for visitors on April 28-29 and May 5-6. All four days, the homes will be open from 1-6 p.m. 
The Parade of Homes magazine can be found in today’s Copperas Cove Leader-Press and the Harker Heights Evening Star, which shows off each of the homes along with their features, and the builders who created them.  
Tonight, the CTHBA is holding its kickoff party to will name the parade’s winning homes in categories from $150,000 to $500,000-plus.  
Along with the 2018 Parade of Homes comes the Ashley Furniture Selfie Contest, which will award $1,500 in furniture or décor to one lucky individual. 
To participate, visit six or more homes during the parade weekends and take selfies in front of the each home. Then, upload each selfie individually to Facebook, tagging Central Texas Homebuilders Association and Ashley Furniture Homestore Killeen TX along with the hashtags #iwonashleysfurniture and #CTHBAParadeofhomes.

Founded in 1961, the CTHBA is a local chapter of the National Association of Home Builders that is based in Harker Heights. It is made up of more than 100 Central Texas companied and is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit trade association made up of home builders, Remodelers, Sales and marketing representatives, Finance professionals, as well as manufacturers and suppliers.
