Jordon Tyler Nelson, 18, was arrested by Copperas Cove police and formally charged with terroristic threat on October 1. He was arraigned by Coryell County Justice of the Peace Bill Price on Friday and given a $10,000 surety bond. This occurred after the Copperas Cove Police Department responded to Copperas Cove High School at 3:55 p.m. Thursday due to a report of concerns over a social media post. With law enforcement onsite at the high school, only parents and guardians were allowed on campus as students were released from the front entrance. The campus was soon given the all-clear and events went on as scheduled at the high school that evening.
