A new storefront will be appearing at 2410 E. Business 190 in Copperas Cove, on part of the property which was the former Heart of Texas Federal Credit Union.
Earlier this month, Dunkin’ announced that it signed a development agreement for 26 new restaurants and eight multi-brand locations with Baskin-Robbins across Texas.
The Copperas Cove store will join a lineup of two other stores in the local area, the Killeen location on Clear Creek which opened in February 2019 and a Harker Heights location on Knights Way which opened later the same year. Both of those stores include a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream storefront
The Copperas Cove store will also be a Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins multi-brand location, according to Dunkin’ reps.
They anticipate breaking ground later in 2021, and are still in the permitting process. The target opening date is estimated to be in the spring of 2022.
The new store will bring 40-50 new jobs to the area.
Riley Scott Construction constructed the Killeen and Harker Heights stores and will be building in Copperas Cove as well.
Jim Wright, with JW Commercial, said that the store will be constructed on the “right front” section of the former credit union property along Business 190, and does not include the former bank site itself.
