April is considered the Month of the Military Child, and this year the Armed Services YMCA helped Copperas Cove celebrate with style. The YMCA along with several volunteers put on an event in celebration of military children. On Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. the YMCA offered a wide array of activities and contests for everyone to enjoy. The YMCA hosted two Easter egg hunts. The first was for ages one to five and the second was for ages five and up. Additionally, the YMCA hosted two cupcake walks and a free-throw contest. Kids were also able to play in a bouncy house, play bean bag tossing games, sing karaoke, get their faces painted and practice basketball. Small prizes were awarded at the end of some of the events. Hot dogs and popcorn were provided at the event free of charge.
