Students create pumpkins to match authors’ imaginations

It’s spooky and even a little kooky. Have you ever heard of a story-telling pumpkin? If you are in disbelief, creep into the library at one of Copperas Cove’s elementary schools and sneak a peek for yourself. Pumpkins that seem to tell a story are appearing in the library at Martin Walker Elementary School. Storybook Pumpkins appear to celebrate favorite book characters and several of them are making up Martin Walker Elementary’s annual Storybook Pumpkin Patch for the second consecutive year, said library assistant, Beckie Rosenbaum. “We have been accepting pumpkins decorated to look like favorite book characters. Each student was invited to participate in this fun event,” she said. “Pumpkins purchased could be no bigger than a basketball.
