State fair winners celebrated at Hamilton’s Fair Park

Not everybody is privileged to have a State Fair of Texas winner at their event, but we will have not one but three of them as vendors at Hamilton’s Fair Park on Saturday, November 15 from 9 to 4, for the Sixth Annual Holiday Market sponsored by the Pottsville Extension Education Club (PEEC). Goldthwaite Artisan Guild member Connie Hansen will display her machine- embroidered quilt that required 800 hours of work. Connie’s was one of only four quilts selected from 30 entries to be exhibited at the State Fair this year, and for it she took “Best of Show.” You will have to come to the Holiday Market to get a good look at it where it will be displayed on the stage, and I know you’ll be glad you did. It’s a superb work of art.
