After months of research and multiple trips to Amish country award winning writer Lynette Sowell launched the sale of A Season of Change, her twentieth book, inside the Copperas Cove Public Library with the support or professional educators, community members and retired teachers. A Season of Change is the first in a three part series in the Season of Pinecraft series from Abingdon Press. Sowell traveled to Sarasota twice, renting a one bedroom apartment from Pennsylvania Amish man and managed by a Mennonite couple from the village. During her launch party, Sowell shared that during her visit the village gathered to watch a movie, projected on the wall of a garage. She traveled on bicycle and lived a part of the Amish life for a week.
