Regional Farm Bureau, county protest federal water proposal

Neil Walter, District VIII director of the Texas Farm Bureau, was present in Coryell County commissioners court on June 9 as the commissioners approved a pair of resolutions regarding federal control of water, as well as a resolution calling for representation within the regional water district. The first resolution opposes a new definition for “waters of the United States” in the Clean Water Act proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers earlier in the spring.
