The sunlight gleaming off the hoods of dozens of cars and the musical beats flooding the area drew the attention of those passing by to Operation: A Taste of Home’s car show in support of our troops. The group, led by Eve Loftus, hosted the car show from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Patriot Storage who allowed the group the use of their parking lot for the day. The event raised $690. Loftus admitted that the amount was less than she had hoped for, but added that every little bit counts. The money will, in large part, go towards supporting local soldiers. Loftus also planned to donate a portion of the money towards supporting the local soup kitchen. The event allowed local car enthusiasts to show off their vehicles and compete for trophies and the glory of being able to call their car
