Leos club helps raise funds for white cane program

The Copperas Cove Leos served alongside the Killeen Leos Saturday at Walmart in Killeen to collect funds for White Cane, a program that supports the seeing impared. Lions Club International provides eyeglasses, cornea transplants and trains the blind in how to live an independent life. From Copperas Cove are Sherrice Cattle, Carson Lapierre, Cassidy Lapierre, Josh Dery, Linda Lapierre, Victor Dery and Jacob Swensen. “The Leos are training up to be future Lions and the Lions have always focused on assisting the seeing impaired throughout the world,” Leos Director Linda Lapierre said.
