Gray skies and thunder were outside on Saturday, but inside the outreach building at Five Hills Assembly of God, spirits were bright and festive for the church’s Free Lunch Saturday. The church’s ministry, Five Loaves and Two Fish, has been serving up free lunches on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month for the past several years, and Saturday’s lunch was Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. “We have turkey and ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, mixed vegetables and dessert,” said Nancy Cranfill, who volunteers regularly along with half a dozen other women from the church. She stayed busy by the front door, welcoming diners and having them sign in.
