Around 14 volunteers with the Copperas Cove Association of Challenged Citizens served up pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries at Saturday’s fundraiser at Applebee’s. The group raised funds during the two-hour event to help with supplies and servics,” said CCACC treasurer, Doris Bolicki. The CCACC provides a place where mentally challenged adults can spend time during the day, enjoying activities and social time. “All of the money we raise from our fundraisers goes to the group,” said Bolicki. In addition to the flapjack fundraisers at Applebee’s, the group also has fundraisers at Walmart, but the flapjack fundraisers help with the bulk of the group’s funds.
