Camp Discovery has completed its second week for kids ages five to 12, and is sending home tired but happy campers each evening. The camp, hosted by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, is held Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. until 6 p.m., and has activities to keep kids busy and enriched while parents are atwork. “We can have a capacity of 70,” said camp director, Caycee Hauck. This week’s enrollment is 57. The campers are divided into two groups, the Roadrunners (ages 5-8) and the Coyotes (ages 8-12). The two groups take part in age appropriate activities, and the
children also get three field trips to the pool per week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
