Everywhere you look, Rabbit Fest royalty seem to be hopping at nearly every event in Copperas Cove and many throughout the Central Texas area. The titleholders representing the annual festival stay busy with a jam-packed schedule that had last year’s royalty making more than 120 appearances and accumulated more than 3,000 hours of community service work collectively with their families. The Lone Star state has taken notice of the pageant and named it one of the best new events of the year.
The Texas Festivals and Events Association named the Copperas Cove Rabbit Fest Pageant as one of the top three new events in the state of Texas with the San Antonio Highland Games Celtic Music Festival and the Hurst Family Campfire Campout outside of Fort Worth rounding out the top three. The pageant, which is volunteer-driven, is directed by Wendy Sledd.
