Rabbit Fest just wasn’t the same without a rabbit show. Fortunately members of the Hares and Hounds 4-H Club brought it back last year and kept it growing even stronger this year when it became an official American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) event.
Rabbits of all shapes and sizes competed in Saturday’s rabbit show. There were short-eared, Netherland dwarfs, long-eared mini lops, the well-represented mini rex, and the long-haired Lionhead, to name a few. ARBA events have 49 approved breeds.
Saturday’s event featured 47 exhibitors with 180 rabbits entered representing, 16 different breeds and pets. Prizes were awarded for Best in Show, Arts & Crafts, Showmanship, Photography, Champion Breed, and Hopping.
