Season 15 of American Idol kicked off last week with auditions recorded over the summer. The audition rounds involve the judges going to major cities throughout the country, where young hopefuls from ages 15-28 can sing for a chance to go to “Hollywood,” where the judges weed out the good-but-notgreat singers and the can-sing-but-don’tstand- out singers from the final 24—the future “Idols.”
