Bulldawg football is on the air!
Well, it’s been a long, involved process, but Copperas Cove Bulldawg fans,.wherever they may be around the world, can once again keep up with their blue, gold and white-clad warriors, through the magic of internet radio.
Yes, it’s true that frustration may have caused some fans to be upset over our late start, but I’m here to tell you that through the diligent and hard work of CCISD Superintendent Dr. Joe Burns and Head Coach and Athletic Director Jack Alvarez, the budgetary, hardware and administrative issues involved were overcome.
Bulldawg Radio is alive and well! Just go to www.ccisd.com/radio Friday night and see for yourself.
Let me be frank about internet radio. I was against it last year, since being the dinosaur I am, my feeling was high school football should be carried over the air, because it always had been. But then, economics became a factor and I saw that this was indeed the way to go.
Now, there’s no question in my mind that Bulldawg Radio can do so many more things to promote all the school’s programs. We’re talking about carrying concerts, commencement exercises and lots more.
As you know, Killeen High is coming in Friday night for a District 12-6A pigskin party. These teams have been playing each other since 1976, with a few misses due to redistricting, etc. but the intensity never really died, and it’ll be katy-bar-the-door once those Friday night lights come up.
Russ Cochran and I are proud to call the games for you on Bulldawg Radio, so join the fun.
Go Dawgs!
