Locals bring treasures, collectibles to trade for cash

A steady stream of people carrying items like old Bibles, old coins and foreign currency, antique tools and collectibles, and even a vintage waffle iron entered the side meeting hall at the VFW Post 8577 on Robertson Avenue, all of them with one goal in mind: coming away with cash. The “Antique Pickers Backroads Tour” has been in town since last Tuesday. Due to the overwhelming response from the community and beyond, Jeff Gibson said they’ve extended their stay for this week through Saturday.
