A Copperas Cove woman is taking the stage – virtually – this weekend as part of The Bella, The Brand & Her Bag Wealth Summit.
Catrina Jackson created Pure Skin in 2016, when she began searching for natural remedies to treat her daughter’s eczema. It seemed like all creams, even prescription creams and water-based creams, burned her daughter’s skin and didn’t help the outbreaks. She determined to find a natural way, and began studying how to formulate something that would help, and eventually created her first product, Healing Body Butter. Jackson also developed Replenishing Body Scrub, Lemon Bliss Foot Scrub, Hair Tonic and Dandruff Elixir.
Jackson’s business is an online store, and she also sells her products locally at fairs and other events like Small Business Saturday.
The single mother and the owner of a black woman owned small business, Jackson will be “onstage” Sunday, Jan. 24 at 5 p.m. CST during the Wealth Summit.
Her topic is embracing self-worth and value.
“Natural skin care is my passion. It is what I do, but if you are not comfortable in the skin that you are in, have I done my job? My goal is to create a culture of confidence in self-care and that is more than external beauty. Self-care is knowing your value. Knowing your worth. That’s the fire fueling my passion,” Jackson said.
